Apture and Twitter
Apture has now incorporated a Twitter viewer into their program.
Create content rich blogs and web pages enhanced with multimedia and embedded live Twitter streams.
My PLN has expanded to include the social networking sites Twitter and Facebook. I try not to spend too much time on Twitter, but instead I subscribe to specific topics such as PLN and VoiceThread. The updates are sent to my iGoogle page where I can view the feeds and my e-mail on the same page.
Apture has also announced Transparency with Government using Youtube and Tweeter. All Apture links in the Washington Post Congress browser will be enhanced with videos from that Congressperson’s official YouTube Channel.

Vicki Davis's recent article in Edutopia described how her students use PLN for their research projects. Before reading this article, I always thought of a PLN as a way for teachers to organize their personal learning.
